Believe it or not, we recently
received a claim from a client against their former collection
agency. What happened? Apparently, the former agency was
recovering funds on debtor accounts and not remitting payment to our client. The
collection agency in question simply did not report receipt of payment and
they also deliberately withheld the name and contact information
of collection attorneys who were handling legal matters on their behalf.
Talk about adding insult to injury! Our
client lost money making the sale to the debtor and then had to
resort to collection action to recover funds from their former
agency; Ouch!
